alexandra waierstall was born in 1979 and grew up in Cyprus. She is a dancer/choreographer and graduate of the European Dance Development Center (EDDC), Düsseldorf-Arnhem. Her latest piece deeper than skin deep was presented at the 4^th Choreographic Dance Platform in Cyprus and was honoured by the international jury invited by the Ministry of Culture. The piece will be presented next at the International Fabrica for Choreographers in Florence, Italy, in May 2004.

alexandra waierstall has been invited to perform and collaborate with Shua group dance company where they will perform on the 23-25 April 2004 the piece madness at the Construction Company in New York. In 2003 she was elected to represent Cyprus at the Biennale for Youth in Athens with her work gaze. Her work transiency was presented last year at Nea Skini THOC, in the 2^nd Dance Festival of Athens and at the international Dance Festival in Lisbon, Portugal.

She presented her work bodyscapes at the Tanz Tank 6 for new choreographers at the Tanzhaus in Duesseldorf in June 2002 and she took part with her work mirrors at the Global Dance Festival 2002 - The Future: Aesthetics of Diversity in Germany.

She was awarded the first prize for her choreography deep rise at the 1^st choreographic dance platform organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Cyprus in 2001 and as a result presented this work at the 4^th European Dance Festival that same year.
