transiency
transiency works within the form of a journey toward transcedence or the crossing of the border-threshold, be it a real border the buffer zone or Green Line, or a metaphor for ones own inner borders, obstacles or the attachment to bondage, the old luggage, pain, the family, identity, belonging, or the passage from the earthing, material part of our lives.
The choreographic structure is fixed and predetermnined allowing the dancers, the creative interraction with the form and within the group. Additionally the work through the use of archaetypal imagery and abstraction allows space for the viewer to add to the work, through his own imagination and perception.
What is to cross the ultimate border?
What is to pass the term of one's life? (τερμα βιον)..... and who can testify to it?
...On crossing the border the threshold puts us on the paht of the Aporos or the Aporia: the difficult or the impracticable, here the impossible passage.
What is the event that most arrives? What is the arrivant that makes the event arrive?
Since the arrivant does not have any identity yet, its place of arrival is also de-identified: one does not
yet know or one no longer knows which is the country, the place, the nation, the family, the language and the
home in general that welcomes the absolute arrivant.
The arrivant disarmed, the absolute arrivant, like a new born child starting with the humanity of man which
some would be inclined to recognize in all that erases, in the arrivant, the characteristic of (social,
cultural, or national) belonging and even metaphysical determination (ego, person, subject, consciousness
etc.)... On this border one will always keep from discriminating among the figures of the arrivant, the dead,
and the revenant (the ghost, he, she, or that which returns).
